Christmas morning 2010... at my sister Joanna's home. Waiting for my two nieces to wake up and discover what Santa has brought for them.
Emmanuel, God with us, brought us hope this day. Thank you Jesus for bringing us Your Hope.

Lighty Inc - new blog
With this new blog site, my hope is two-fold: 1. that I can share some of life with friends and family and 2. I can get my honey to put some of his awesome writings on here.
We shall see if I can accomplish these! Thanks for reading,

Your Sweet Spot
Thursday I sat in with a group of pastors for a meeting. Greg Wiens from Florida Ministries shared his heart with us. He talked about finding your sweet spot in ministry. Or finding out what it is that you do really well and find extreme satisifaction in doing it. He shared the big wheel he has created and asked each of us to plot ourselves on it.
Sometimes these types of things frustrate me. They seem like an exercise in futility. Mostly because I really struggle with identifing who I am. I've always been that way for as long as I can remember. Usually I see myself differently than others see me. Over the years this has gotten better and I've been able to see myself as others do, but I still find this difficult.
Eventually during this meeting you ended up plotting yourself on this wheel. In the end, with the help of some friends, I ended up plotting myself on this Leadership wheel in a Systems/Operator/Manager role. I still feel a bit conflicted about it, but what's new?
